Description
This simple recipe for pork loin chops is one that every cook (newbie or veteran) should have on hand! It’s easy, fast, delicious and versatile.
Ingredients
Scale
4 pork loin chops, thick cut (approximately 1 inch)
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and swirl around the pan.
- Season both sides of each pork loin chop heavily with salt and pepper. Add to skillet and brown (about 2 minutes) before flipping. Brown on second side.
- Move skillet to oven and bake pork loin chops for 15 to 20 minutes or until an internal temperature of 145 degrees is reached. Rest pork loin chops for 5 minutes prior to serving to help the meat retain its juices when cut.
Notes
Cook’s notes: Seasoning heavily is required to bring out the flavor in the pork. Consider adding ⅛ teaspoon of salt and pepper to each side.
