Melt-in-Your-Mouth Turkey Tenderloins

Sharing is caring!

Are you planning a more close-knit gathering this year for Thanksgiving? Do you have a smaller family? Or do you just want to try cooking something a little bit different this year? While- traditionally- Americans feast on a whole turkey on Thanksgiving Day, cooking that whole turkey can be a lot more trouble than it is actually worth (especially when you aren’t cooking for a huge crowd.)  So today, we are bringing you a flavorful and tender alternative to the traditional roasted whole turkey. But don’t worry, these Melt-in-Your-Mouth Turkey Tenderloins are so delicious, they’ll still taste like special-occasion food!

Did I mention that you can have these ready in about an hour? That means no worrying about calculating de-frost time on the rock-solid turkey that’s been living in your freezer for a week (you know, because you had to buy it early before all the other whole turkeys were gone). These turkey tenderloins aren’t just delicious; they are quick and easy, too. So if  you’re someone who really enjoys the side dishes of Thanksgiving, this turkey recipe will give you the time to focus on those, as well!

Ingredients

  •  2 Turkey Tenderloins ( 1 1/2-2lbs Package)
  • 1/2 TSP Black Pepper
  • 3/4 TSP Salt
  • 1 TSP Garlic Powder
  • Melted Butter
  • Rosemary (fresh sprigs if possible)

How to Make Them:

To make these delicious tenderloins, get your oven fired up and pre-heated to 400°F. Next, you’ll place your tenderloins in a glass baking dish and completely smother them in the melted butter. For the best result, it’s key that you use real butter here, because (as we all know), real butter is delicious and adds the fat that will make your turkey tender and flavorful. You’ll want the turkey to be completely covered in melted butter, and you also want to make sure there is some at the bottom of the baking dish, as well.  The turkey will soak the butter up while baking!

After that, all you have to do is add your seasoning. I think it’s delicious with salt, pepper and garlic (exact amounts suggested in the recipe below). Then top each tenderloin with a sprig of fresh rosemary. If you really like rosemary and a little bit more of that herby flavor than you’d get from the whole sprig, you could also cut some fresh rosemary with herb scissors over the top of the tenderloins. (I have these herb scissors and am obsessed with them.)

Then you just pop the dish into your pre-heated oven for about 45 minutes (you’ll want the internal temperature to reach at least 161°F.) When the tenderloins are cooked through, allow them to rest for 10-15. Then, just slice and serve! How easy is that?  Just you wait until you taste these buttery, herby, tender turkey tenderloins! Whole turkey, who?
