Every child loves Dr. Seuss! Why not celebrate this beloved author with another childhood favorite–pizza! This recipe will show you how to make your own whimsical and delicious Dr. Seuss themed pizza, just in time for Dr. Seuss day (March 2) and month (March!)
Pizza dough, homemade or store-bought refrigerated
Pizza sauce, homemade or store-bought
Mozzarella cheese, about 3 cups
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Prepare a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Divide the pizza dough, using about ¼ of the dough to roll flat for the brim (circle) of the hat. Roll out the remaining pizza dough on a lightly floured surface or pastry mat into a rectangle.
Place shaped dough on parchment-lined baking sheet with the rectangle over the circle. Bake for about 5 minutes.
Remove pizza dough from oven and add sauce, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni to create the stripes of the hat.
Return to oven and bake an additional 5 to 8 minutes, depending on the thickness of your dough and desired doneness.
