To Make the Oreo Cookie Pigs:

  • First, line a baking sheet with waxed paper.
  • Melt your green candy melts wafers. (See the recipe below for tips on what to do if your melted candy is too thick.)
  • Then dip each Oreo cookie into the melted candy being sure to completely coat each one. Place your dipped Oreo cookies onto your waxed paper.
  • Before the candy coating hardens, add candy eyeballs, green Mini M&Ms for ears, and green Spree candies for noses. (Attach with a bit of extra melted candy melts.) Use an edible marker or tiny dots of black icing (applied with a toothpick) to make nostrils.

  • Or if you’d prefer, you can pipe on white icing for the eyes and add black dots with an edible marker (or tiny dots of black icing applied with a toothpick) instead of using candy eyeballs.
  • Then wait for them to set completely.

To Make the Oreo Cookie Birds:

  • First, you’ll need to line a baking sheet with waxed paper.

  • Next, dip each Oreo cookie into the melted candy being sure to completely coat each one. Place your dipped Oreo cookies onto your waxed paper.
  • Before the candy coating hardens, add candy eyeballs and pieces of Starburst candies cut to form beaks. (Attach with a bit of melted candy melts.) Or if you’re the creative type, pipe on some white icing for eyes (Add a black dot with an edible marker or add a tiny dot of black icing applied with a toothpick.) and pipe on orange or yellow icing for beaks. Add black or orange sprinkles for eyebrows so your birds will look appropriately angry!
